Back in 2014 I requested Freedom of Information to secure all data referencing my person from the NEB. I was a delegate of the Line 9 process and the data I secured proved the fact the NEB was monitoring my twitter feeds and that NEB managers of the Enbridge Line 9 hearing deemed it a success that the process lacked cross exam of experts.
The National Observer covered a story about it: http://www.vancouverobserver.com/news/waterloo-woman-finds-neb-e-mail-lauding-public-s-inability-question-pipelines
The response to the original request was over 1000 pages long and many pages were blacked out and/or redacted. Later on I wanted to secure uncensored copies of the information but the statue of limitations passed so I reopened a new request last spring to secure all documents referencing my person up to December 2015. This resulted in 400 new pages of information and the re-release of the previous report. Many of the new pages were also redacted so I filed a complaint with the Information and Privacy Commissioner and I just got a letter confirming that they are reviewing my data right now which includes both the previous and current FOI responses.
The new data I secured is in the attachments along with my complaint to the Information and Privacy Commissioner requesting release of blacked out info specific to various issues including
-the lack of CPCN permit for the transfer of Line 9 and 10 assets from Enbridge Pipeline Inc. to Enbridge Income Fund Holdings Inc. Lots of emails with NEB solicitors all blacked out.-a delay of nearly a year on my procedural questions on how the public can participate with the Leave to Open process. Again lots of internal chatter all blacked out. - I was hoping to use the data found in this information to assist with the Line 10 hearing process that took place in October but the release of this FOI request was delayed. It arrived Nov. 22 over one month after the hearing.-the information shows a lack of investigations regarding an oil spill I witnessed in the Humber River in Toronto. There were many emails blacked out but some of the NEB staff identified the need to investigate my concerns but the Board never did. -there was a lack of investigation for my whistle-blower complaints of pipeline risks at Shelter Valley and Trenton Ontario.
>From my view it looks like the NEB is full of administrators and lawyers who care more about projecting the appearance of safety instead of investigating actual risks or incidents.
So the review is currently underway. I'll be sure to keep you updated. Louisette Lanteigne700 Star Flower Ave.Waterloo Ont.N2V 2L2
