Hello everyone
UW Prof Larry Lamb has passed. He was an amazing botany prof at UW who advocated strongly for the protection of natural spaces, especially grasslands in Ontario.
He was such an amazing person. I remember walking with him at Huron Park tasting the gum like minty flavors of the bark of a silver birch tree. He explored forests and trails like a living library, so full of knowledge that it leaves one in a state of awe and wonder to see the world through his vast understanding of each plant and its roll in the web of life.
Today’s Record features a tribute to his life, his amazing accomplishments and awards.

May his memory continue to inspire advocacy and the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of the beautiful natural world we live in. Nature is ours to protect. He did his part. May we all continue to do ours.
