Hello everyone <div><br></div><div>UW Prof Larry Lamb has passed. He was an amazing botany prof at UW who advocated strongly for the protection of natural spaces, especially grasslands in Ontario. </div><div><br></div><div>He was such an amazing person. I remember walking with him at Huron Park tasting the gum like minty flavors of the bark of a silver birch tree. He explored forests and trails like a living library, so full of knowledge that it leaves one in a state of awe and wonder to see the world through his vast understanding of each plant and its roll in the web of life. </div><div><br></div><div>Today’s Record features a tribute to his life, his amazing accomplishments and awards. </div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://www.therecord.com/life/waterloo-region/larry-lamb-a-superb-botanist-who-thrived-to-the-beat-of-his-own-drum/article_8ce4853f-ba0f-5b79-97d5-3ddcc974b9d2.html" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">https://www.therecord.com/life/waterloo-region/larry-lamb-a-superb-botanist-who-thrived-to-the-beat-of-his-own-drum/article_8ce4853f-ba0f-5b79-97d5-3ddcc974b9d2.html</a></div><div><br></div><div>May his memory continue to inspire advocacy and the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of the beautiful natural world we live in.
