[All] GREN and Waterloo Region Environmental Groups Potluck at Sunfish Lake - Wed Aug 23rd 6pm

Hi GREN folks,

Kyra Chisholm from Climate Action WR has been trying to get social gatherings of all area environmental groups together for several months now.  It has also been a while since we had an in-person GREN meeting or social function.  The summer is rapidly progressing and we are at the perfect time where the bugs and mosquitoes are tapering off in late August but there is still long days and daylight well into the evening.  Thus, although it is short notice we are going to do a potluck evening event at my house on Sunfish Lake on Wednesday, August 23rd at 6pm.  

Kyra has invited about 30 different people/environmental groups from across Waterloo Region and I would like to extend the invitation to any interested GREN members to come as well for a beautiful summer evening and some food at Sunfish Lake along with a chance to meet with a wide variety of people interested in the environment.

It will be an outdoor event and Covid-safe.  Please bring a jacket and a lawn chair, along with a salad, or main course, or dessert to share.  I’ll also have lemonade, fruit punch, and S’mores for the campfire.
