[All] Ontairo is Not for Sale: Quick summery of the Webonair

Hi folks
Quick summery from a recent webonair on this campaign which is made of a collaboration of a big collaboration of environmental and social justice advocacy agencies. 
They are requesting letters to MPPs to show support for the Ontario is Not for Sale movement. (Draft letter in the attachment along with tweet info folks can use to spread the word) 
Bill 132 the "Open for Business Act" threatens the following
-weakening Endangered Species Act to the point it is ineffective. -weakening of fines for aggregate violations-weakening of Conservation Act to allow more housing in protected areas increasing flood risks etc.-No plans to help cut C02 emissions -the revival of GTA West Hwy 413 which runs through the Greenbelt lands over top wetlands etc. (It was already killed previously.)

They encourage folks to book private meetings with their MPPs to discuss the concerns. 
Supporting materials are in the attachments for folks wanting to participate. 
I'm all in with this one. I provided the organizers with a summery of the interesting economics of the Ford Gov't and local issues we're seeing at this end.  I've hand written my letter for my MPP which will be delivered and I'm scheduling a meeting. 
One of the points I raised is that if the fines are reduced to the point it's cheaper to do the crime and pay the fine, where is the economic incentive to abide by the law? Why is this current government crafting policies in such a way they appear complict to the objectives and intent of those laws?
Things that make you go Hmmm.
