(Draft letter in the attachment along with tweet info folks can use to spread the word) </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Bill 132 the "Open for Business Act" threatens the following</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-weakening Endangered Species Act to the point it is ineffective. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-weakening of fines for aggregate violations</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-weakening of Conservation Act to allow more housing in protected areas increasing flood risks etc.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-No plans to help cut C02 emissions </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-the revival of GTA West Hwy 413 which runs through the Greenbelt lands over top wetlands etc. (It was already killed previously.)</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">They encourage folks to book private meetings with their MPPs to discuss the concerns. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Supporting materials are in the attachments for folks wanting to participate. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I'm all in with this one. I provided the organizers with a summery of the interesting economics of the Ford Gov't and local issues we're seeing at this end. I've hand written my letter for my MPP which will be delivered and I'm scheduling a meeting. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">One of the points I raised is that if the fines are reduced to the point it's cheaper to do the crime and pay the fine, where is the economic incentive to abide by the law?
