Advancing Canada’s Environmental Laws Together
Posted by Christine Mettler on June 28, 2017Right now, the Canadian government is acting on its promise to review and modernize Canada’s environmental laws including a new Fisheries Act, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, the Navigable Waters Act, and Environmental Assessment Act. We've got a once-in-a-generation chance to make sure the government gets these environmental laws right and protects clean water, wild fish, their habitats, and the communities that depend on them.This summer, a coalition of organizations—from national NGOs to Indigenous Organizations and Governments to local grassroots groups—are asking their members to email their MPs in support of stronger environmental laws.We hope your organization will join us in these campaigns. You can focus your involvement on the one review most important to your work or you can engage on multiple fronts.  Learn more about the campaign and how you can participate in this webinar on July 13th at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT.
