Turtle UpdateAfter having witnessed pond damages and lack of sediment fence to a Snapping Turtle habitat along Erbsville Rd, I reported the incident to the MNR. Happy to say construction has stopped and there is now a new sediment fence in place to protect the habitat and the primary recharge area. The turtle can exit and enter at the driveway area, and cross the street and enter the property on the other side through a space in the fence along the driveway area. The MNR have notified the GRCA and are arranging a meeting with various municipal officials re: what protocols must done to stay in compliance with Provincial Laws.
