On March 13, 2017 the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry received a report from COSSARO. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will make the corresponding amendments to Ontario Regulation 230/08 on June 13, 2017.

These amendments will result in the addition of:

• five new Endangered species:

o Hoptree Borer, 
o Nine-spotted Lady Beetle, 
o River Darter – Great Lakes St. Lawrence population, 
o Unisexual Ambystoma – Jefferson Salamander dependent population, 
o Unisexual Ambystoma – Small-mouthed Salamander dependent population,

• one new Threatened species: 
o Lake Huron Grasshopper),

• and one new Special Concern species: 
o Northern Sunfish – Great Lakes – Upper St. Lawrence population) to the SARO List.

• One species will be removed from the SARO List: 
o Porter’s Twisted Moss.
