Currently Attawapiskat is built on a 2km by 2km area located in a floodplain. The Federal Government has announced they are granting new 12km by 12km area for the community for expansion in lands uphill away from the flood risks. So regardless of oil prices and oil volumes the oil market is going drop dramatically. As they say, we didn't evolve out of the stone age because we ran out of rocks. The technology is simply too old, to dirty, to risky and outdated. Killed by common sense & better technologies.
