Subject: The rebellion against Monsanto
A brave group of SumOfUs members are taking on Monsanto by filing a shareholder resolution demanding change. But they can't stand up to a corporate Goliath like Monsanto alone.
Will you chip in CA$28 to help them win?

Gregory,
We just got word that we've successfully forced Monsanto to hold an official shareholder vote on reforming its corrupt corporate structure!
The vote will be held at Monsanto's St. Louis global headquarters during it's annual meeting on January 29.
That means we have just over two weeks to convince Monsanto shareholders to support these necessary reforms to rein in Monsanto's reckless corporate behavior.

Monsanto is notorious for bullying local farmers into buying its seeds, selling pesticides linked to cancer, and killing off our bees.
And one of the reasons Monsanto gets away with all this reckless behavior is that Monsanto's CEO is literally his own boss. Monsanto has no independent board chair to oversee him.
Our official shareholder resolution demands that CEO Hugh Grant be made accountable to an independent board chair.
Here's what we've got in store for Monsanto:
* Mobilising SumOfUs members most affected by Monsanto's practices to attend the annual meeting
* Getting prime media coverage to help make Monsanto feel the pressure
* Using a short, shareable video on the shareholder resolution to communicate the value of the motion to Monsanto's owners
* Get a team on the ground at the AGM to promote the motion to Monsanto shareholders face-to-face
And this is just the beginning -- we could have a massive impact at the meeting. But only if you're able to chip in too.
Can you chip in CA$28 to help stand up to Monsanto?
