If you're interested in looking at research and data that show how the earth's air and atmosphere are changing - greenhouse gases etc. - as relates to climate change  - here is the site for an observatory and monitoring station on the Hawaiian island of Mauna Loa, which a friend recommended   http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/  Includes a webcam at the South Pole and various other places on earth.
