Thank you for your email. While you referred to TransCanada as the applicant, technically it is Energy East Pipeline Ltd. (EEPL) who applied for the
 Energy East Project and that is how I refer to them below.
 
On

2 April 2015, EEPL filed a letter notifying the Board that a decision was made not to proceed with the proposed Cacouna Terminal and that further analysis and consultation would be required to assess the viability of other options for the siting of a marine
 terminal and oil storage facility. EEPL stated that it anticipates filing this amendment in the last quarter of 2015.

 
The

Board indicated by letter dated 6 May that it cannot determine that the Application is complete until after the future amendments are added to the record and assessed. The Board requested more detail as to the significance and potential impacts of amendments
 that may be made to the Application. To clarify the point in your email below,
the Board did not request TransCanada to file the amendments by 20 May.
 
On 20 May,

EEPL filed its response to that Board’s Information Request. You can read the response at the link provided.
 
The NEB has not yet set out the details of a hearing process or schedule for Energy East.  A process update will be publically provided once the NEB
 Panel has assessed the information that we have requested.

I was wondering about the current status of the Energy East application. Did TransCanada provide amendments to their Energy East application by the
 May 20th deadline set by the NEB or is the application no longer being considered?
