Hello everyone

John Schneider, husband of Jane, passed away on Monday according to an article published in the Record today.
John and his family were long time supporters for the protection and preservation of the Waterloo moraine and they allowed public use of their trails to allow everyone the chance to explore and celebrate the beauty of our natural world. They were active participants in numerous council meetings working to protect fisheries, birds, forests and were very active in public processes regarding the West Side Lands,  the McNally property, the Wilmot Line and the ESL. 
Personally speaking, John and his family inspired me to get involved with the movement to protect the moraine. Jane's extraordinary council speeches, delivered with such love and grace made me fall in love with the place. John planted thousands of trees and showed me the potential we all have to creat the world we want to see. His trees, like the legacy of his life will live on and he continues to inspire me still.
