>From November 27-29, the Council of Canadians and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) invites Canadians from across the country for the Blue Summit: Learn, organize and act for public water - an exciting national event that will renew and expand the campaign for public water.

We need a National Water Policy that protects Canada's public water services from pollution, bulk exports, privatization and destructive dams. The Blue Summit will be a great opportunity to engage in substantive dialogue on vital issues ranging from the implications of privatization of water and sanitation services; to the growing movement to ban the sale of bottled water; to First Nations water issues and the impact of environmental racism.

This three-day event will feature an engaging teach-in about water issues, trade and action panels, a family-friendly water justice rally,  and a celebration of ten years of winning activism through the Water Watch Coalition - a community based network for water stewardship and water justice. There's something for everyone.
