<DIV>From November 27-29, the Council of Canadians and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) invites Canadians from across the country for the <STRONG><EM><A href="http://council-of-canadians.c.topica.com/maans06abTAxJaRDAwGeaeQy7T/" rel=nofollow target=_blank>Blue Summit: Learn, organize and act for public water </A></EM></STRONG>- an exciting national event that will renew and expand the campaign for public water.  </DIV>

<DIV>We need a National Water Policy that protects Canada's public water services from pollution, bulk exports, privatization and destructive dams. The Blue Summit will be a great opportunity to engage in substantive dialogue on vital issues ranging from the implications of privatization of water and sanitation services; to the growing movement to ban the sale of bottled water; to First Nations water issues and the impact of environmental racism. </DIV>

<DIV>This three-day event will feature an engaging teach-in about water issues, trade and action panels, a family-friendly water justice rally,  and a celebration of ten years of winning activism through the Water Watch Coalition - a community based network for water stewardship and water justice. There's something for everyone. </DIV>
