Hi Susan,

This is excellent. Scott seems to be very interested, eager and responsive. The websites he has created are basic but seem to be well done and would be good enough for GREN and our needs.

The question that I would have for him is how much but in order to answer that he needs to know what it is that we want. I have attached below an outline of what I believe that we need that could provide a bit of a basis for a quote and I would be willing to do a call with him and others from GREN to go over any questions.

Does this makes sense for next steps. We can also see if there are other interested developers who can provide a competing quote.

Cheers,
Kevin.

I designed a browser based system to input all of the books into a database, a search engine, a system to put books on hold, a daily upload to ABEbooks.com <http://abebooks.com/>, a blogging section (which is unfortunately underused) and contact forms.

Originally, the website featured a menu that was fully editable by a manager, an admin section, login/logout forms, and a photo gallery. Since COVID, I have been very active in setting up multiple takeout menus and shopping carts. Due to the changing landscape of restaurant and retail, their website can hide and show various menus based on what is ‘safe’ at the moment. So, the ability to make a reservation, display a dine-in menu, or a takeout menu, or special menus like Valentine’s Day, or the Superbowl, can all be shown or hidden. I have also set up a form for reservations. They can also change the notices that pop up when you arrive at the site so that they don’t have to hire me every time they want to make an announcement.

He wanted a very basic site that showcased his multiple talents/services, previous projects that he has worked on, contact page etc. I’m pretty happy with it. It is a very clean and straight-forward site.
