Just noticed I responded to John only.
I was also asked and I'm planning on attending a meeting this month -
Stacey just sent a Doodle poll to find a date that works. As Kevin said
they've been kind of hit and miss for many years. I've been to a few of
their breakfast workshops and they've been quite informative and a great
networking opportunity. I met Kate Pearce from WGSI through one of them
and she, through WGSI, has been an incredible resource and source of
support for both the Good Green Death Project and Shannon's Partnering
with Nature.
I also saw Nicole at the EcoMarket on Friday - she had just defended her
PhD thesis that day, which could explain the "hit and miss" of WREN over
the years. I also found WREN was less than responsive when we were
organizing the Environmental Election Forum.
We do need a coordinated hub or network of eco-groups, but, in reality,
neither WREN nor GREN has been able to do that, which is why I think
it's important to be part of this "resurrection" or whatever it is of WREN.
My two bits,
Susan K
