Ford is privatizing health care the same time health risks increased as a result of Covid and Climate Change. There is a massive rally happening in Queen’s park. Sixty buses are booked to attend. There will be some from Waterloo Region going to Queens Park that day. Details below. Please attend. We need critical mass numbers to push back on Ford Government.

Update & Key Information:
The fightback to stop the Ford government's privatization of our public health care is building... It is inspiring!
Thousands of volunteers are on the move across Ontario to save our public health care and stop privatization. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for all you are doing. Here is a quick update.
So far, more than sixty buses are bringing people in to the mass protests on Thursday May 30. A list of buses that have seats open to community members is below. Please sign up as soon as possible. Please register your buses so we can get you your bus kits early next week. (See information below.)
Volunteers have marked down on our tracking map their distribution of more than 100,000 leaflets door-to-door, at street and market tables, in community groups and in workplaces. It is so impressive! See it on the campaign website www.StopForProfitHealthcare.ca.
Note: That 100,000+ showing on the map is just a small proportion of the leaflets that we know have been distributed. Many are not marked down on the map. We know that we are up over half a million and on our way to the first million. Please get your leaflets out and update the map on the campaign website if you can. This public education effort absolutely works... we know because we can see it in the public opinion polls. The goal is to reach two million people (1 in in every 7 Ontarians).
We are getting lawn signs ready to go. We will begin distributing them at the protests and will continue throughout the summer.
The fightback is on. We have to win this...the future of our public health care hangs in the balance. There is something -- even one thing -- that every one of us can do and everyone's effort makes a difference. Here is everything you need to get going. Thank you all for caring and for building this fightback. It really is inspiring!

Join the giant protest and march in Toronto starting at Nathan Phillips Square and going to the Ontario Legislature at Queen's Park. The Legislature will be in session with Members of Provincial Parliament there from across Ontario. There will be regional rallies and marches in areas where it is too far to go to Toronto, including Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Dryden, Ottawa, and Cornwall.
Get on a bus! List is below.
Volunteer to be a marshal to help keep roadways clear and the crowd safe - email your name, which protest you want to help at, and contact info, to info at ontariohc.ca with MARSHAL in the subject line.
Make your signs and visuals for the protests! (Please keep it clean. It isn't usually an issue at Health Coalition events but a gentle reminder never harms. Simply using vulgar language doesn't send a message that helps. Let's raise the tone of political discourse, and remember, there are children coming!)
Donate to help cover the costs of the buses and the protests here https://www.ontariohealthcoalition.ca/index.php/donate-now/ or send an etransfer to info at ontariohc.ca(please include your name and contact information).

Huge updates on leaflet distribution
This spring, we aim to share leaflets with 2 million people in Ontario to spread the word of Ford's destruction of our public healthcare and how they can stop this privatization by joining the protests. More than 600,000 leaflets have been sent out to local coalitions and volunteers, and most of them have been distributed. It is incredible!
Below is a snapshot of just some of the leafleting that has been put on the map. (See it here: https://www.stopforprofithealthcare.ca/#leaflet) In some areas, there are so many points that the map doesn't show them all at once! There are numbers on the blue dots that show how many places where leaflets have been handed out - there are more than 4,000 leafletting locations on the map so far.
You can join the amazing work:
- Get leaflets to distribute (different languages available and we are adding more): https://www.stopforprofithealthcare.ca/join-the-fight
- Host leaflets If there is no local coalition in your area, we are asking for volunteers who are willing to store leaflets for people to pick up and distribute. If you can volunteer to host leaflets, please email us at info at ontariohc.ca with the subject line "HOST LEAFLETS".
- Add your leaflet distribution to the map at https://www.stopforprofithealthcare.ca/#leaflet
- Donate to help cover the costs of the leaflets here https://www.ontariohealthcoalition.ca/index.php/donate-now/ or send an etransfer to info at ontariohc.ca(please include your name and contact information).
At the bottom of this email, we have attached some resources that can help you when you interact with members of your community as you distribute leaflets. They are attached as Word documents and as PDFs so you can edit the resources or use them as they are.
- A draft script for going door-to-door
- A draft sign up sheet that you can use to ask people if they want to receive updates via email, get a lawn sign, and get on a bus to the protest on May 30 (if there are buses in your area)
- Two draft inserts for local information: some local coalitions are handing out local inserts along with leaflets, such as ways to contact your local MPP and information about local hospital closures and privatization.
On the back of the leaflet, there is space to stamp or put on a sticker with your local coalition or organization's contact information.
*****PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW EMAIL ADDRESS – info at ontariohc.ca *****
We are proud of the difference we make and we hope you are too. This work is only made possible by people who care like you. Please do become a member or donate. It matters!
