Nice to hear from you. Hope you are well.
Found your note in my Junk Mail and that is why I am responding a bit late.
It is important to write comments on the employment land map. This is essential to contribute comments about the importance of the natural areas. My best guess is they dumped all open lands in to this map, and then have placed the BURDEN to identify constraints / concerns on the plate of the public. Not nice. So this means we all need to write in comments that say this natural area needs to be protected. Obviously, the presence of Species At Risk is an important consideration.
I will be sure to write in some comments today.

The Regional Official Plan Review's most recent project update regarding Employment Land Conversions Requests can be viewed at https://www.engagewr.ca/regional-official-plan.

 

As of September 9th, 2020, the Region has received 38 landowner requests for employment land conversions, as well as requests from the area municipalities. These requests are shown on the newest interactive map.  

 

Please note the following two dates:
   
   - September 25, 2020 - Submission proponent to confirm the mapping of their request is correct.
   
   - October 16, 2020 - Deadline for the general public to submit feedback on if they support or oppose each conversion request.
