I hope you are all doing well. Back in June, the Provincial Government proposed changes to the Growth Plan - changes that are bad news for endangered species, forests and wetlands.

Please find attached a sign on letter to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Steve Clark regarding these changes to the Growth Plan. This letter will also be sent to Minister Yurek (MECP), Minister Yakabuski (MNRF),  the Commissioner of the Environment, leaders of other political parties as well as to the federal environment minister, Minister Wilkinson. 

Please note that CELA (the Canadian Environmental Law Association) is drafting an ERO response on the Growth Plan which will also be circulated for endorsement.  

The attached letter specifically focuses on the removal of the prohibition on aggregate extraction in the habitat of threatened and endangered species in the regional Natural Heritage System of the GGH.
