Thanks for this Kevin!
I've been swamped up to the eyeballs these days with issues flairing up all over the place so I really appreciate this summery.
Everyone did awesome with the Bill 66 protests by Bingmans. Lots of media attention and Twitter feeds. Great results all over.
Resolutions that oppose Bill 66 passed in Simcoe too.
I also saw this posted on Twitter:

We were able to achieve unanimous motions against Bill 66 from the City of Kitchener, the City of Waterloo, and the Township of Wilmot!
There was great discussion by Councillors in each community and it is fabulous to see the strong opposition forming across Waterloo Region to Bill 66. A clear message will certainly be sent to Queen’s Park.
2) Remaining Council Meetings - we still have three remaining municipal Council’s to work with to get motions opposing Bill 66. Two of them will be tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan 15th):
a) City of Cambridge - Tuesday, Jan 15th 5:30pm - Cambridge City Staff have drafted a report on Bill 66 that raises concerns but needs to be a bit stronger. Please join Stephanie Sobek-Swant from rare as she tries to persuade Cambridge Councillors to approve a motion strongly opposing Bill 66 at Cambridge City Hall Council Chambers, 46 Dickson Street, Cambridge. You should be able to attend and still make it to the Dianne Saxe event following at 7:00pm at Kitchener City Hall.
b) Woolwich Township - Tuesday, Jan 15th 7:00pm - Woolwich Staff haven’t been able to draft a report on Bill 66 though their Council would like to pass a motion ensuring their concerns about Bill 66 are known. The draft motion we have seen is concerning. Please join Bob Jonkman from KW Peace as he has an encore performance again this week at the Woolwich Council Chambers, 2nd floor, 24 Church Street West, Elmira to try to get a strong motion opposing Bill 66 from Woolwich Council.
c) North Dumfries Township - Monday, Jan 21st 7:00pm - Details to be confirmed on their Staff Report and Council Meeting.
3) Stewards of Our Future - ECO Dianne Saxe Event - Tuesday, Jan 15th 7:00pm - We’ve sold out the main rotunda and we’ve sold out the overflow too Council Chambers at Kitchener City Hall with more than 380 people registered for this important community event. There may be some standby tickets and even if you have a ticket be sure to come early and visit the information tables of community groups. Look for delicious refreshments and cookies as well there will be some Bill 66 lawn signs available.
4) Our Water, Our Future - Planning is well underway for this second speakers event to follow the overwhelming response to the Dianne Saxe evening. Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, February 7th at 7:00pm, First United Church in Uptown Waterloo where we will have speakers from Walkerton and other water experts discussing Bill 66 and its potential impacts. 6) Contact Your MPP - Thanks to GREN member Greg Mikalenko for pulling together this handy list of contact information for our local MPP’s who need to hear far more from us about our concerns on Bill 66.
