Thanks to John for going on CBC-KW radio yesterday morning and doing an interview with Craig Norris about the concerns of eliminating the Env.’tal Commissioner of Ontario and its/her 30 employees at a savings of $4.2 million/year which, which John’s words its truly peanuts in the grand scale of things. Savings? Not much. Benefits in keeping? -huge. I think we should think of others to be copied on this letter to know of our concern-Karen Redman, Regional and local councils, Federal Environment Minister, Catherine McKenna? …other suggestions?

We need to get the word out that this is NOT acceptable in 2018-2019 to slash everything environmental for a whole huge province like Ontario…not just for its people but all the wildlife that inhabits it.

Excellent, thank you...a discussion about this plus the Child Protection Advocacy officer is being discussed on the CBC radio phone in show Ontario Today right now. Apparently the Ford gov. Is saying the elimination of these 2 roles is not to save money but to make them be more effective! 89.1 fm or online
