[All] Province plans to eliminate Environmental Commissioner of Ontario

The provincial government plans to eliminate the incredibly important independent Environmental Commissioner of Ontario. This is an office that many of us successfully worked very hard to have created in 1994. The reports that the commissioner has released over the decades have been extremely valuable and are used by many of us. The most recent annual report was released just a few days ago

Attached is a news release that the Canadian Environmental Law Association put out this afternoon. I'm a board member of CELA. They will also be putting out a detailed letter, which GREN will be part of, and leading a campaign on this matter.
