Dear Eleanor,

We need your help.

Racine, Wisconsin requested to *divert 7 million gallons (28 million
litres) of Great Lakes water daily *from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi
River watershed.

*The diverted water isn’t for drinking water, it’s for profit. *

Wisconsin is bending over backwards to get Foxconn – a multinational
technology manufacturing company – to set up shop in their backyard.

This diversion could set a dangerous precedent that would allow other
communities to divert Great Lakes water for industrial and commercial
purposes.

Although the Great Lakes are huge, *only one per cent of the water in the
lakes is renewable.*

We have too much to lose if the Great Lakes aren’t protected. If you
agree, *take
action now, have your voice heard and tell Ontario to demand a regional
review of the Racine Diversion Request.
