HI Everyone,
It is a lovely display just to the right of the rotunda at City Hall. Good opportunity to see the display and stop and have a coffee/tea at Williams or one of the many small independent cafe’s popping up in Kitchener. A couple on Ontario St. just a short walk from City Hall.
Warm Regards,
Yvonne Fernandes

Subject: [All] Our Nature, Ourselves, Hidden Valley art exhibit at Kitchener City Hall
Hi everybody:
If you missed the Hidden Valley Revealed exhibit last fall at the Homer Watson House and Gallery in honour of Daphne Nicholls, you will have another opportunity to view some of the paintings from that show plus additional pieces, including artwork by Raflar (one of the judges from the original show). The exhibit will run from Jan 15/18 - Feb 28/18 in the Berlin Tower ARTSPACE located on the ground floor of Kitchener City Hall which is open 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 9pm weekends and holidays.

The Homer Watson Art Gallery presents "Our Nature, Ourselves" an exhibit that focuses on Hidden Valley, featuring works by local, contemporary artists: Amorin, Apostolovski, Brophey, Beuck, Kalyn, Nye
Peng, Nicholls, Raflar, Ramsay, Rostrup, Tiangco and Turner.
This exhibition is to honour the late Daphne Nicholls, an artist, active environmentalist, and a founding member of Friends of Hidden Valley.
The City of Kitchener, the Region of Waterloo, and the Province of Ontario have all recognized the uniqueness of this exceptional area by imposing special designations onto this privately-owned property. It includes three Provincially Significant Wetlands within an Environmental Significant Policy Area.
This natural heritage area has a rich biodiversity of habitat including a variety of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and vascular plants; all of this within a few hectares from Fairview Mall. The artists in this exhibition, hope to bring attention to the beauty of nature and the importance of our relationship with nature and to remind us of our responsibility to protect it for future generations.
