The featured work of the program is Leonard Enns' This Thirsty Land.  This 25-minute piece for choir and instrumentalists focuses on the increasing lack of (access to) potable water, and metaphorically laments the dryness of the human spirit, using texts by Aeschylus, St. Francis, T.S. Eliot, and George Whipple.  Other choral selections will centre around the theme of water, including audience-favourite Water Night by Eric Whitacre, which both choirs will perform together.

Each choir will also perform a number of selections independently.  DaCapo will present two vastly different works by Canadian composers: Hussein Janmohamed's ethereal Sun on Water and Bruce Sled's atmospheric Three Water Pieces (which won the SOCAN choral composition competition in 1996).  Orpheus (directed by Robert Cooper) will perform selections by Eriks Esenvalds, Jaakko Mantyjarvi and John Rutter.
