Hi folks
Several events happening locally in the next few days. Here's the update on that:
The Envigorate Festival at University of Waterloo March 23rdThe festival offers free workshops and a film screening of award-winning documentary “The Good Neighbour” along with a discussion on the film, tar sands developments, Indigenous rights, and local oil pipeline resistance. In the documentary, a Norwegian citizen travels to Canada’s tar sands, camera in-hand, to find out if Norway’s STATOIL is respecting Canadian First Nation’s treaty rights – as the company promised. The panel includes Myeengun Henry who challenged Line 9 at the Supreme Court with Chippewas of the Thames along with Astrid Schau-Larsen is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and co-founder of Ramz Media production house, which released "The Good Neighbor" in 2014.Schedule of events is online here: http://envigorate.ca/workshops/

3. April 12 6-9 Waterloo Memorial Rec Complex (Swimplex)Featuring Award winning documentary film makers: the Water Brothers speaking at 7pm
