If you don't already receive quarterly e-newsletters from FLAP (protecting birds from collisions with buildings + windows), this recent issue has some really interesting information about birds and bird counts in Southern Ontario, and how a library in Scarborough retrofitted their windows to be bird-friendly...they found out the dot pattern needs to be on the outside of the glass. We need to get some kind of a bylaw(?) going here as they do in Toronto- all new buildings must meet a code for bird-friendly windows I believe, as well as rules for leaving less lights on in office buildings overnight.. http://flap.org/pdfs/Touching%20Down%20Sp17.pdf I see an office building from our house that leaves so many lights on at night that its ridiculous. There can't be cleaners in there all night!
