Hi folks
The Environmental Commissioner's office released an order for remedial work to be done by Laurel Springs Water Corp. in ESPA 17
(across from ESPA 19 off Wideman Road) It states:
This is a notice of a proposed Order in relation to 1,1,1 trichloroethane, Freon and other chlorinated volatile organic compound contamination in soil and groundwater at the above referenced site located in the City of Waterloo, Ontario.
The Director, Ontario Ministry of the Environment intends to issue a Director’s Order under Section 17, 18, 43, 132 and 197 of the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) to Laurel Springs Water Corp. Under these sections of the EPA, the Director may require a person who caused or permitted the discharge of contaminants into the natural environment to take certain actions and environmental measures to protect the natural environment and to prevent, decrease or eliminate adverse effects.
