There is an EBR water taking request by Enbridge to facilitate testing on Line 9!  Public comments on the Environmental Bill of Rights registry are now being accepted until November 28th. Visit here to have a say: http://www.ebr.gov.on.ca/ERS-WEB-External/displaynoticecontent.do?noticeId=MTI2NDI0&statusId=MTkwODI2&language=en
Right now in the US, there is a lawsuit underway demanding better plans to deal with big oil spills. http://www.fireengineering.com/ap-news/2015/10/08/lawsuit-wants-plans-mandated-for-dealing-with-big-oil-spills.html
Also, Enbridge trains fire fighters to act as first responders to oil spills, but fire fighters lack equipment to physically stop the spills ie: Booms etc. Their job is for the most part, to close areas and keep people away from the sight until Enbridge staff respond to spills. http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2015/10/06/great-lakes-face-threat-another-enbridge-line/73170338/

I currently have an Environmental Bill of Rights review that is being processed which the MOE supported, to review Ontario's Spills Response Protocols. End of review is due in March 2016.

Please spread the word for folk to voice concerns on the EBR. It is the best way to give public comment and if enough people raise concern we can stop this project for good!
