This week, scientists from across Canada sent a detailed letter<http://blackoutspeakout.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ede9fe983d87a67a71ed32743&id=a703fcdffb&e=200b251a16> to Prime Minister Stephen Harper outlining the serious flaws in the report approving the Northern Gateway oil pipeline and tanker project.  These eminent scientists are asking him in the strongest possible terms to say “No” to this assessment.

We need to make sure the Prime Minister gets the message. Thousands of people like you have stood up to say “No” to Enbridge’s Northern Gateway oil pipeline and tanker project.  You were not alone.  Over 100 First Nations oppose it.  The people of Kitimat, at the very center of the project, voted against it.  The province of B.C., which bears the burden of risk, has said “No.” So did the majority of Canadians from all walks of life who testified before the Joint Review Panel.   The Panel recommended the project be approved anyway.  But it’s not over yet<http://blackoutspeakout.us5.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=ede9fe983d87a67a71ed32743&id=b0eb2e399e&e=200b251a16>.

The Joint Review Panel delivered a deeply flawed recommendation to Canada’s government.  It ignored your voice and thousands of others. And, it ignored the science<http://blackoutspeakout.us5.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=ede9fe983d87a67a71ed32743&id=db85b8cc52&e=200b251a16>.

Now, government is making a decision on this major oil pipeline and tanker project based on a flawed report.
