[All] Waterloo Region Water Efficiency Master plan and Water Supply Master Plan updates

As we have reported before, Waterloo Region is updating both of these plans.
The basic conclusion that both plans come to is that, because of the
effectiveness of water conservation and efficiency programs, the decision on
a pipeline can be deferred.

This week, the Region is holding public consultation centres of their water
efficiency update proposals.
* Thursday Feb 6, Conestoga Mall, 5:30 ­ 8
* Friday Feb 7, Cambridge Centre Mall, 5:30 ­ 8
* Saturday Feb 8, Fairview Park Mall, 1 ­ 3:30

In December, the Region held open houses on the update to the Water Supply
Master Plan.

GREN is putting together comments on both of these plans for submission to
the Region by the end of February. If you have any comments on the plans,
please send them to me as soon as possible.
