Not much on trees, Norah. But still a really interesting exhibit.

Do trees feature in this water exhibit?
I was amazed to attend the Water exhibit in Ottawa at the Museum of Nature in 2011 where there was no mention of the role that trees play to
their cleaning and recharging effects on streams and aquifers after rainfall. In fact, the trees are not part of nature in that museum. I have not been back since but will check them out later this fall. Eliminating the role of trees when discussing water is a symptom of silo thinking. norah

Hi Everyone,
I agree with Susan. It is a very good exhibit. I found the world map with the sponges showing how much water the certain parts of the world would require in the future a bit disturbing and concerning.
Take care everyone.

Hi GREN-
I want to highly recommend this fabulous exhibit, just opened! Darrol and I saw it but will be going back to spend hours. It’s an immensely creative way of communicating water issues, as much art as science.
Also, Wilfrid Laurier U is presenting a series of Water Dialogues from Oct 20 through early December. I have attached the Laurier news release which discusses the exhibit and the series.
Cheers,
Susan B.
