Hi folks

The Enbridge Hearing on Friday reveals the following facts:

-Bitumen is a solid. It's asphalt. As it moves it vibrates due to varients of mass, it will be under pressure creating a vortex effect. It will be heated but external factors such as ice, water, heated areas will create variants in thermal pressure. As it passes over seismic areas it faces increased risks.

-The existing line crosses over Finch Subway, goes by York University and goes under the fire station across the street from the University and the firemen state they didn't even know the pipe was there.

-Students at York said they want every student to be compensated in case spills disrupt their education. 55,000 people go to this school.

-Area land owners in Toronto said 1 billion insurance is too little when homes average a million each off Finch in Toronto.

-Enbridge only did a scope analysis on pumping stations. The rest of the pipeline was out of the scope of study. When people asked for data regarding the pipe they were told they were "fishing".

-Enbridge data reveals cracks, corrosions and crack clusters and specifies psi limits of 640 to 700 before critical rupture occurs. Current plan ignores it and wants to bump up psi levels from 750 to 1000 psi.

-Stress cracks exists all along the line. ILI tools are unreliable for reviewing these issues.

-Enbridge states hydrostatic testing for pipeline integrity could cause damages so they don't want to do it.

-Enbridge admits in WRITING that they have NEVER reviewed one single treaty regarding Line 9.

-Simcoe treaty: Written by King George was ignored.

-There has NEVER been crown designated consultant to facilitate the First Nation's consultation process regarding Line 9 in spite of the fact it crosses 18 First Nations territories.

-Technically the current pipe is proof that the NEB, the Crown and Enbridge illegally facilitated the installation of the pipe and committed a CHARTER VIOLATION due to the absence of consent. The approval of Line 9 A was illegal too. This process will be illegal again if approved.

-by law, spills are finite with a start and ending. Leaks are ongoing. Enbridge only addresses "SPILLS" response, not the leaks. I met Landowners with leaks on their property and they are ignored by Enbridge. They are held liable if the spills go to other properties. If the well is abandoned, NEB has no jurisdictional powers to help them. They're simply stuck with it. The pipe has many leaks and Enbridge lacks technologies to detect.

-Spills response time could take up to 6 hours before the line is shut off manually.

Key evidence to review regarding this case as used by Environmental Defence/Equiterre etc.

And my favourite piece, (as in Chess piece perhaps?) John Quarterly's Final Arguments, C60-3-1.

The board said tomorrows hearing, featuring the final testimony of Enbridge was cancelled due to security risks. They will rebook the hearing for another day.

I am tired. Time to rest.

Night night.
