Here’s a summary of the latest updates on the website of the Waterloo Region Food System Roundtable.  
1. Endorse the Waterloo Region Food Charter! 
The Roundtable’s online consultation on a Food Charter drew tremendous input, and we now present to you the final draft!  Add your or your organization's name to the list of those endorsing Waterloo Region's new Food Charter by April 1st.  Read more.
2. Advocating for Supportive Municipal Food Policies
The Roundtable continues to provide input into how it thinks local municipalities should be supporting the local food system, and you are invited to help in this advocacy work.  Read more.
3. Reducing Waste on the Weekly Grocery Run
Judy Paul gives some excellent ideas on how to reduce waste on your weekly grocery run.  Read more.
4. A Locavore's Dilemma - A Book Review, Part I
Gemma Charlebois has posted part one of her critical review of "In Praise of the 10,000-mile Diet."  Read more.
5. Catch of the Day - How Do You Choose Your Fish?
Fish have many nutritional benefits, but Kim Bretz wonders how we should choose which fish to eat if we're concerned about health and environmental issues.  Read more.
6. Stop the Land Grabs
Louisette Lanteigne thinks land banking schemes in Ontario (where companies buy up farmlands for development into housing or quarries) pose a risk for water and farmlands.  Read more.
