Greening Sacred Spaces Network Workshop

Date: Wednesday, October 24

Time: 7-9 p.m. (registration begins at 6:30 p.m.)

Admission: FREE

 

Location: Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, 57 Stirling Ave. N., Kitchener, ON  N2H 3G4



Topic: Water - a sacred resource!  

 

Featuring: An Indigenous Welcome and Opening by Aboriginal Elder Jean Becker and speakers from REEP Green Solutions and the Region of Waterloo's Water Services.

 

Learn about the RAIN program (improve the quality and reduce the quantity of stormwater flowing from your property! ), how to apply for stormwater utility credits, how to save money on your water bill, how to reduce your winter salt use, curriculum water resources for teachers, and how to earn money for your faith community through water barrel fundraisers.  

 

A Water Song will be performed by Wilfrid Laurier University's Aboriginal Students.
