Hi All,
Although the CBC could be doing a much better job -- relative to their
original mandate at least -- they are not as market-controlled as the
private networks. As a result their environmental reporting and
programming is of a higher
order, e.g. The Nature of Things. So if the Harper gang of ideological
bullies -- extreme ideology can make smart people stupid -- decide to
sell off all or part of the CBC, then our local community (including
NGOs like GREN) should apply pressure to our Conservative MPs as
creatively as possible, A symbolic tar & feathering of Harper -- then
burning "him" in effigy -- in front of local MP offices comes to mind
as a series of possibilities IF ... .
