Our joint meeting with TriTag on January 18 was very successful. You will
shortly receive the GREN notes from that evening.

Dr Jeff Casello, a professor at the U of W specializing in transit, gave an
excellent presentation. He has sent us a similar presentation of his
entitled ³An Analysis of the Critiques of the Rapid Transit Proposal.² We
have posted it on our website www.gren.ca. It is posted under ³documents².

Since our meeting, Waterloo Regional Council has set the following timing
for the next stages in its decision-making process:
1) February 15: release staff implementation options report at Planning &
Works Committee
2) During February/March conduct public consultation on the options document
3) In April Planning and Works Committee decides on a preliminary preferred
option
4) In April/May conduct public consultation on the preliminary preferred
option
5) In June Regional Council makes a decision on a preferred LRT option
