Water: the Exhibition

FYI

We became members of the ROM last year to see the Chinese Terracotta
Warriors (another FYI - it was cheaper for us to buy an out-of-town family
membership than to buy tickets just for that show, so it's something to
consider if you like the ROM - and we even got a few guest passes for that
show! Hmmm, either that or I lied and said my nieces my kids) Anyway, this
looks interesting.

Water: The Exhibition

Opens March 5, 2011
Garfield Weston Exhibition Hall, Level B2

Water is essential to life on Earth, but what happens when there is not
enough?

This innovative exhibition illustrates the indispensable roles that water
plays in our world. Underlining that all water on Earth is finite, linked in
a vast cycle, and unevenly distributed, Water alerts visitors to the problem
of competing demands and highlights the urgent need for further progress in
water management.

Families will love exploring many aspects of water through the past,
present, and future. The exhibition instills in visitors a new understanding
and appreciation of this priceless resource through towering walk-through
displays, cutting-edge technologies, hands-on activities and live aquatic
animals - including fishes, frogs, salamanders and more!

Want to learn more about the environment? Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of
Biodiversity <http://www.rom.on.ca/exhibitions/nhistory/nature/> , Level 2,
presents the diversity of life on Earth and the significant challenges to
its conservation and survival.
