*_Hiroshima Remembered: Petals for Peace_*

Aug 6th, Saturday at 4pm by the Reflection Garden in Royal City Park.

The recent tragic events in Fukushima, Japan add to the horror of 
Hiroshima so many decades ago.
On top of this, our governments discuss increasing reliance on nuclear 
power at a time when other countries are reducing their dependence on 
it. ( Germany, France, Italy, UK, etc.)

Social justice and social change are needed more than ever. Billions of 
dollars are shifting to the nuclear industry to support more of the 
'same old' solutions.

Join us with local music and readings from varied groups and 
denominations. We share our hopes and efforts at realizing a world of 
peace, mutual respect and system change.

Dried flower petals will be combined and children will drop them from 
the Covered Bridge to float them down the Speed River. Gather your own 
garden petals or from a friend's garden, and bring them with you on Aug 
6^th .
(petals removed from fading flowers and placed on paper or screens for a 
few days will dry well )
