[All] Fantastic Rally in Toronto!

Hi folks
 
Met Maude Barlow and she signed the petition calling for a Waterloo Moraine Act. (I have a super photo of that). It was also signed by Mike Schreiner, the leader of the Green Party. He asked me to provide him details of what's happening in the Waterloo Moraine so I'm going to follow up on that.
 
I hand delivered 1 litre of water from the Waterloo Moraine and Norah and her hubby brought water from the Galt Paris. We met folks all across Ontario dealing with the EXACT same issues we are. Right now provincial policy to "modernize" approvals is going to quash the efforts gained to secure public participation in planning processes. The EBR process of seeking public input will no longer be in effect for many proposals if this nasty piece of legislation passes the third reading so we've got to get petitions signed on that issue.
 
Norah, please provide details for the gang about your petition so they can know the bill we're talking about here.

Also be sure to watch Global TV for video footage tonight and check out Toronto Star or Toronto Sun tomorrow. I was holding the "Water for Life" Banner to the left behind the guest speakers, (aka the chick in the red coat) so you might see me in the background there. Perhaps a leg or two.
