Indeed you have connected more dots, Lulu! The proposed offshore, Lake Erie
windturbines, according to Cathy McLellan, would require deep digging to
build their bases - she was concerned about the toxic sediment being stirred
up and then released into the water. Maybe this is another point that could
be made. How deep do they have to dig under the Lake and could they
inadvertently tap into and release the natural gas?

 

Most of the remaining natural gas lies on Crown land under Lake Erie, Lake
Ontario, Lake St. Clair and Lake Huron.
