Lulu...Thank you for your devotion to this cause. I have set aside the 23rd of March at 11.00 am for your involvement in the OMB hearing. You'll certainly be the expert for KW on OMBs and involvement. Even if some folks can only go for a short time, it would be impressive for the interest shown....sign in and ask to be on notice re results Lulu is right...the more interest shown the more they pay attention.
Never, in the history of government being challenged about their decisions in development allowances, have they met and been challenged by so many informed and environmentally educated people /citizens. University of Waterloo has given us professors who will open their minds and knowledge for FREE to the average citizen who asks, as we found with CPWM and the water experts here locally. Government has not had so many challenges in the past from "informed and educated" citizens.
We'll keep challenging , in order to leave something worthwhile for our next generations. I'll be there and hope many can find the time to be there for only a little while if possible. Ginny

Subject: [All] OMB hearing March 23 at Waterloo City Hall at 11
Hi folks
I've been intouch with the OMB this morning. I'm going to be a participant at the next West Side Lands OMB process to raise the issue of the City of Waterloo's failure to comply with the previous OMB ruling.
To date the city has not secured any further hydrological data for the West Side Lands, they have permitted the augmentation of Clair Creek's water volumes and flow prior to the mandated testing and I've got the paperwork and videos to prove it. The current draft plan has no regard at all for the protection of the capture zone of pond W-12 and this latest decision by the city to approve of a trail and servicing through ESPA 19 violates the bufferzones set by way of the OMB process.
I am currently prepairing my documents for Tuesday's hearing and I encourage everyone who can attend to be in the audience on March 23rd at 11am in Waterloo City Council Chambers at 100 Regina Street Waterloo. Numbers in the audience has a very big influence on the OMB. We REALLY need people to be there to send the message to the OMB that citizens still care about this issue.
OMB liasion officer Matthew Bryan confirmed that I would not need to resecure my experts because the evidence is already there to show that the conditions were signed off by all parties. All I have to do is go in as a participant and allow the board to guide this matter as they see fit.
I'm also considering my legal options to take the matter to the provincial courts if need be.
Talk to you later!
Lulu :0)
