He everyone
I'm in dialogue with the staff at Environment Canada regarding the need to protect threatened and endangered bird species in ESPA 19 located by the West Side Lands in the Waterloo North West Corner.
This is an issue right now because the developers are going to the OMB seeking clairity on whether or not to use the city or the region's restriction on activities during the bird breeding season as they build along the West Side Lands and because the city intends to put the servicing for Vista Hills, along with an asphalt trail and lighting right through the forest. For information about this your welcome to visit the following website:

If anyone has knowledge of rare birds in this area or knows someone who does please get intouch. Right now I've relayed info provided to me by Lyle Friesen and Ted Cheskey as well as correspondences I've received from the MNR. If anyone has any further information to provide I can connect them with the wildlife official investigating the matter.
Thanks
Lulu
