Come on out to the “On the Road to a Green Economy: G20 Speaking Tour”!
What: A panel discussion on what a "green economy" would look like, how we could build one locally, and the government policies that we will need to make it a reality. The second part of the evening will include discussions in small groups to further explore these issues.Who: Panelists include: Sarah Jane Saska, CYCC (Canadian Youth Climate Coalition) Youth Speaker; Tony Clarke, Polaris Institute; Ken Bondy, CAW (Canadian Auto Workers); Mike Morrice, Sustainable WaterlooWhen: Thursday, June 17th at 7:00pm. Before the event, a speaker’s corner will be set-up where community members will be asked to answer the following question: “Why do you want Canada to discuss a just transition for a Green Economy at the G20?” These clips will be compiled into a short film that will be shown in Toronto and at future events. There will also be tables set up by local environmental organizations, an opportunity to view photos from climate change actions around the world, and other activities (check out the facebook event for more details).
