Subject: [wpirg announce] Publish with WPIRG!

We would like you to be a part of a WPIRG Journal on Environmental and Social Justice Issues!

We have already begun to receive articles, essays and short pieces from students and community members covering a wide range of environmental and social justice issues such as climate change negotiations in Copenhagen, feminism, community sustainability planning, ecotourism, Bhopal 25 years later, habitat destruction and much much more.

We have also received a foreword for the journal by Maude Barlow<http://www.canadians.org/about/Maude_Barlow/>.

We are looking for academic or semi-academic essays, articles or short pieces.

The purpose of the publication is to work on building the bridge between academics and activism.

What to do:
- Respond to the email address below with your piece(s) [article, essay or short] on environmental and/or social justice issues by February 1st, for review by an editorial board.
- Keep it within a 1500 word limit.
- We are also looking for some shorter (under 500 words) pieces as well.
- If you use citations, please include full information as endnotes.
- Please forward this email to friends who may be interested in contributing.

Why do it:
- It has been recognized that a stronger link between academics and activism is needed.
- Get published - this will give you the opportunity to share your research and writing with fellow students and community members.
- There are many more reasons!!!

Feel free to ask any questions for further clarification.
