Hi everyone:
On Dec 1st, Robert Fleming will be making a presentation at a meeting at
Regional offices to discuss fluoride. (Please see the following e-mail and
attachments that were forwarded to me by one of our local fluoride group
members.)
We hope to hear from other delegates as well, but it would certainly
be helpful if some of you could make it to the Regional Council Chambers on
Dec 1st to lend your support.
Thanks,
Deb Swidrovich

Here are two recent articles on the state of Regional water fluoridation
(please see attached).
Robert’s article also appeared in the Waterloo Chronicle this week (slightly
abridged). The Waterloo Chronicle version it is not yet available online.
This coming Tuesday there will be a Transportation and Environmental
Services Committee Meeting at which ‘Public Health’ and ‘Water Services’
will provide further information to the Regional Committee concerning what
precipitated the latest failure to properly notify the public when
fluoridation was shut-down. This meeting takes place Tuesday, December 1,
2009 at the regional headquarters building at 150 Frederick Street (2nd
Floor) Kitchener, Ontario N2G 4J3. The fluoridation topic will come to the
committee at approx. 1:00p.m. For more on what will be presented you may

Angela Vieth has also filed a freedom of information request concerning the
failure to notify the public when fluoridation was shut down, as well as
provided the Region with a list of questions to answer, now being responded
to in the web link above. Please see Angela’s freedom of information
request attached.
Robert will be presenting at this upcoming meeting and I am sure would
appreciate any show of public support you can provide. Angela will also be
attending the meeting.
Letters to the press would also be helpful to keep this issue in the
forefront of the public’s mind, to encourage our elected officials to come
clean and fix their mistakes rather that trying to wash them away.
Remember that 60% or more of our Region’s citizens now drink bottled water.
If the Region wants to change that, it begins by winning back the public’s
trust. Fixing the fluoridation problems is a good way to begin to rebuild
such trust.
