Neil.  You have written a very learned and strong  and passionate letter for what appears to be an attempt for a  seemingly 'wrong doing'  of our endangered species  (  specifically Our Jefferson Salamander ).   We are so fortunate, here in this Region of Waterloo, not only to have your expertise but also your passion and devotion to the causes in which you so fervently believe and defend. 
 This community owes you a big debt of gratitude for the considerable amount of time and expense  and emotional stress for the hundreds of hours that you have spent on this cause alone, let alone the *many* others  in which you are and have been involved.  We also thank Titia , your wife, who in lending you to us has suffered the loss of your company for all those hours.
You are close in the hearts of so many of us.      Thank you again and God  Bless      Ginny
