To Woowich Council. Last nite when I was typing this , I hit a wrong key and it disappeared from the screen. My computer skills leave very much to be desired. Fortunately I had copied it to myself and today I find it intact.
It was my intention to sign this ,as is the proper way to send a legitimate letter to Council and the newspapers et al.

My signature should read Ginny Quinn 102 Pinehurst Crescent, Kitchener ON N2M 1E4 519-578-0005.

I would like to add a PS to the bottom of my letter.

The Aggregate Industry is well known not to refurbish the areas they quarry, quite probably because there is a sort of special clause in the contract or instructions, that allows them to leave 10% of the amount they have been licenced to remove, and they say they must be able to have access to it. (I have been told this by people with far more knowledge of this industry than I have.) I have also been told that in Europe , they cannot go forward to another pit until they have fully cleaned up refurbished the one they just been working on. How I wish the Government which sets out the rules, not sure if it`s MNR or MOE would change this to force cleanups ASAP before allowing them to proceed.
I`m told that from the air ,this area looks like Mars with all the open, unrefurbished pits. It would be interesting to see just how many pits are currently open. Respectfully submitted. Ginny Quinn as above.

Subject: [All] Bridgekeeper's Plea for Heritage Support

Dear Council , Staff and Decision Makers of Woolwich Township:

You have a very difficult decision to make very soon, regarding the protection and survival of one of your most precious and recognized heritage and 'tourist attractions' in your locale.
Yes, I speak of our well known and beloved "Kissing Bridge" in Westmontrose. In the interests of progressing into the future, and building more and more onto our increasingly diminishing greenbelts, environmentally sensitive landscapes, wetlands, forests, much needed (and less respected by potential developers and aggregate miners and their cohorts) it is with a very strong hope that you will listen and 'hear' what the protective citizens are saying.
Once we lose it , it's gone forever and then again forever.!
Guelph has just had a situation wherein 151 charges have been laid( by the city) for the unapproved tree cutting. Be that as it may, the beautiful, aircleansing trees are gone, and they are gone forever 'at this point in time.' Yes, we can plant more trees, but they need to mature and will take many years to reach the maturity of the trees that were "slaughtered" , to help this area to cleanse and help to purify our smog infested air. I am told that there are some developers whose attitude is ' do it and get it over with and face the consequences later"."Once it's done , it's done, and it's over... and pay the fine.!!".
Please preserve your very own local heritage "Kissing Bridge" and if some of you councillors need more time to deal with this very important potentially altering of your community's future , please put it on the 'back burner' for another meeting.
